The Breadth and Length and Height and Depth, Larry Chen Having spent most of my life in Southern California and being individualistic by nature had more or less shaped me into my own peculiar person living in my own realm by the end of my college years. I thought I was usually right. I believed my ways to be the right ways, and I held myself to be the standard by which I judged others. Then I came to the FTTA. Praise the Lord! Here in the FTTA, we have the opportunity to interact with people from all over the world, each of whom has a different background, personality, view, history with the Lord, and function in the Body of Christ. Sometimes we also have the opportunity to visit the local churches in other regions of the world. By having contact with so many different believers and churches, I have realized how narrow I was and that I need the other members of the Body. I also have recognized and appreciated that every believer has a different portion of the experience of Christ and expresses Christ in a different way according to the way he was created. How multifarious our Christ is (Ephesians 3:10)! Only by seeing Christ in His Body could I really begin to see how diverse His unsearchable riches are and really begin to apprehend His breadth and length and height and depth with all the believers (Ephesians 3:18).
